Materials
20D nylon ripstop with a durable water repellent finish. Elastic cuffs and hem. No membrane, on purpose. A wind shell with a membrane is just a bad hard shell that costs twice as much.
Care
Machine wash cool, tumble dry warm to restore the DWR. In steady rain it will eventually wet through. That's not a defect — that's when you put on the hard shell.
